Just looking at this lipstick makes me happy, it’s just so lovely! I’m happy I decided to add Wagasa Twirl to my lipstick collection. As many of us become more conscious of what we're putting in our bodies, we're also turning to clean makeup brands as we're becoming more aware of what we're putting on our bodies. ![]() The shadows didn’t swatch well in store and the palette was super tiny so I’ll stick to the lip products from this collection. ![]() ![]() I had original planned on purchasing the eyeshadow palette release in this collection but I decided against it. I tried it on in store and it would be a fun summer shade so I’ll hopefully grab it soon – (MAC isn’t cheap so I gotta save up). I’ve got my eye on Framboise Moi, it’s a light berry shade and it’s gorgeous. I plan on purchasing at least one more lipstick shade in this collection. Wagasa Twirl was the shade I would get the most use of so I picked it up. I really liked all the lipstick shades released in the Boom, Boom, Bloom collection. The closest shade in my makeup collection to Wagasa Twirl was Too Faced Make Me Blush from the Peach and Cream collection. I can apply different glosses over it to make it darker or feel more like a cream. Wagasa Twirl isn’t a particularly unique shade but I really like it. I’m very glad to see MAC releasing collection that are more eye-catching. I’m usually not drawn to MAC lipsticks because of the boring, matte black packaging. This packaging is so pretty, I was tempted to buy every item in this collection (but I restrained myself). The case is covered in pink petals that look like cherry blossoms. This bullet is stunning! The white case has a beautiful, iridescent pink shift – (I wish the actual lipstick had the same finish). I purchased Wagasa Twirl for $24.00 CAD, ($19.50 USD).Īnd now for the main event – the gorgeous packaging. Wagasa Twirl contains 0.10oz/3.0g of product. I found Wagasa Twirl didn’t transfer much but it needed to be reapplied completely after eating. I own matte lipsticks that are far more comfortable. It wasn’t uncomfortable to wear but I was aware of the product on my lips when I wore it without a gloss. Like most matte lipsticks, Wagasa Twirl is not a hydrating lipstick. Once applied this lipstick didn’t settle into the lines on my lips – (hallelujah). It was possible to smooth the product out but I would recommend wearing a gloss over this lipstick. ![]() My lips have been on the drier side lately and the product definitely clung to the dry patches on my lips. Even just swatching this lipstick felt like a had to “warm up” the lipstick so to speak. Wagasa Twirl applied well, it went on nearly opaque with one swipe. Wagasa Twirl is so pretty and pink! It really is the perfect spring shade. Wagasa Twirl – is a cool toned matte pink. Get swept up into spring with a petal-powered collection – and keep the bloom alive! The limited-edition lineup – featuring exclusively designed sakura-printed packaging – includes cherry blossom-scented Prep + Prime Fix+, High-Light Powder, Lipsticks, Lipglass and an Eye Shadow x 9 palette”. MAC Cosmetics describes Boom, Boom, Bloom as “Put the BOOM into BLOOM. Let’s find out how Wagasa Twirl performs. I’ve picked up one item in this collection so far – the Wagasa Twirl lipstick but I’m planning to buy more. I’m hoping all the pretty pink packaging will usher in some warm Spring weather. Spring has sprung with the latest collection from MAC Cosmetics Boom, Boom, Bloom! This has gotta be the best makeup collection name of all time.
